At some point in life, we all have experienced weight gain inexplicable, swollen legs or hands, weakness or cramps. And it may be the result of fluid retention .

Although not a health problem involving a greater hazard, fluid retention can be a symptom of some other condition such as hypertension and some heart. It is important to remember that this is a problem that affects everyone, especially women.

Fluid retention can be caused by bad habits in our diet . Therefore, information from University of Mississippi,   we give you some tips to help you prevent it.

1 Increase consumption of foods rich in water and electrolytes, mainly fruits and vegetables.

2 Perform activities that promote the circulation of blood as walking, dancing or cycling.

3 Take an adequate amount of water, 2 liters per day (8 glasses).

4 Reduce salt intake and replace it with herbs and spices.

5 Avoid foods high in sugar and salt.

6 Eat enough protein, because if they are missing in your diet may reduce the production of albumin and thus fluid build up.

7 Enough rest. Rest is essential to prevent fluid retention and especially if it is located in the lower limbs, such as legs.

8 Consume tea and other herbal infusions which in most cases have an effect diuretic.

9 If your work activity requires you to sit for a long time, get up at least once every hour and gives a slight walk around the room.

10 Do not wear clothes, tight shoes or socks.

If you add these actions habits and avoid drinking soda, coffee or refined flour, you will feel and you will be much better. Remember that fluid retention occurs in 7 out of 10 women.
